LingoLens

LingoLens is a full language-learning platform spanning a web app, a Chrome extension, and native iOS and Android apps, with support for multiple languages. It turns the videos you already watch into immersive lessons: subtitles are intercepted in real time and rendered as an interactive overlay — hover any word for an instant translation, or tap for full dictionary definitions, gender, and usage examples. Every word you encounter is logged to a persistent word bank that tracks encounter counts, context sentences, and learning status, synced across all your devices. A spaced-repetition flashcard system built on the FSRS algorithm turns your word bank into a daily study habit. All translation and language processing runs on fully local, self-hosted AI — a two-tier lemmatization pipeline (a static map of ~10,000 conjugations with a spaCy-powered fallback service) plus Wiktionary integration, deployed with Docker.
